The amount of good positions and areas we find possession in but the attack is slowed down or the wrong option is picked or the weight of pass is off, etc, etc.

A dynamic winger better than what we have would be nice but with McGree and Forss back soon seems unlikely. I'd give the 2 wide players at Peterborough a look
Central midfield needs addressing still as my opinion of Howson lowerseach week, Barlasers had dogs abuse recently but hes had a much better season than I expected honestly think the abuse is mostly bird brain fans judging a footballers ability on a couple of badly taken corners (lol). Still I want that mobile modern #6 a la Declan Rice that's so important now. Sam Fields entering final 6 months but don't think he's good enough on the ball for our style tbh it's a tough one. Billy Mitchell had a good game vs us for Millwall
CB and RB need a player each with Smith's time at the club all but done, Dijksteel underperforming and the fitness of our CBs an issue but loans feel a bit pointless as I think the 3 promotion spots are already done tbh, hopefully that young RBfrom Ireland is as good as people saying and ends up here
Totally agree about our forward play it’s a cringe word but we definately lack that ‘swagger’ we had last season. The problem is we have Lath, Crooks, Jones, Rogers, Silver and Coburn who are all abit rash, uncomposed and not 100% sure what they’re doing and not 100% confident in what they’re doing.
I wouldn’t include McGree in that, we’re desperate for him to come back, also I wouldn’t actually include greenwood. The things he does do are usually good and he does seem to have that confidence in attack that someone like crooks doesn’t. Greenwood for whatever reason just never seems to be in a game, he could get motm and a hattrick and turn out to have touched the ball 5 times all game.
Other than a RB I don’t actually think we need to touch the defence although I’d take Worrall, same in midfield, Hackney and O’Brien on paper is a promotion worthy partnership. It’s a weird situation where I think our whole system is dependant on the front 4 working properly, or maybe just the confidence it brings to the rest of the team. Either way we just don’t have enough up there and what should be a relatively good defence and midfield on paper often looks schoolboy quality.
Id be happy with either of your suggestions of forwards, Vasquez not proven but would be our player, Diallo would have an instant impact but could be to little to late, so is it even worth it? But either of them would improve us and I think we’re seeing how vital that Akpom role is in this system.
As for our right hand side I’m not as sold on Forrs and Jones as many seem to be. I think they both would automatically be better in a better functioning team and would be fine, but that’s also kinda the problem. Jones is a bit like crooks, you don’t know which one you’ll get, sometimes he’s involved in everything, yesterday I forgot he was playing and other times he looks none league. I just don’t think you can trust him to consistently deliver.
Forrs I feel is more consistent, more solid but also looks to much like a striker playing out wide and can be easily defended out of a game. Let’s not forget we had Forrs as a starting player last season and chose to get a loan player to take his spot, if he wasn’t quite good enough then, he isn’t now either.
Overall we desperately lack in the forward department, we lack the players on the team sheet that you know are gonna ‘turn it on’ and deliver a 7/10 minimum performance consistently. Mcgree is the closest we’ve got but he hasn’t played enough this season to fully say that. We have to many hot and cold players who ‘have their moments’ and that will only ever get you so far.
