What percentage of donations go to Ducks Unlimited? ›

We strive to use at least 80 percent of every dollar funding our mission. Fortunately and through diligence over the last several years, DU has been able to put 86-88 cents of every dollar into our conservation mission.

Adult Memberships

This annual $35 membership is for adults age 18 and up and includes: A one-year subscription to Ducks Unlimited magazine. Members-only access to exclusive content on our website. Invitations to special events throughout the year.

By giving the appreciated land to Ducks Unlimited, the donor can take a tax deduction for the fair market value of the property on the day it is given and avoid paying any capital gains tax. DU gets the full value of the gift toward our mission and will not pay any gain tax when sold for operational revenue.

Answer: Ducks Unlimited magazine is published six times per year. Each issue covers two months. Ducks Unlimited magazine is typically released during the first week of January, March, May, July, September, and November.

We met that goal again in FY21 with more than 83 percent of our revenues going toward wetlands and waterfowl conservation and education. And our conservation mission was clearly strengthened in FY21 by generous members, volunteers, and supporters.

Since its founding, Ducks Unlimited has restored or protected more than 18 million acres.

Much of the funding DU uses to pay for staff, equipment, policy efforts, and other conservation work can be traced back to the support of the organization's 650,000 members and their passion for waterfowl and waterfowl hunting.

FY23 also saw Ducks Unlimited generate impressive revenues of $318.5 million. And 30,000 Ducks Unlimited volunteers hosted more than 560,000 attendees at 4,555 events in FY23. Event income set an all-time organizational record with $91.7 million.
