Arc Welding

Arc welding also referred to as stick welding is the oldest of the three and probably the most cost efficient. This task is easy to perform because there are fewer materials, equipment and energy being used. However, this practice still requires skilled workers to be done correctly. Overall, arc welding can easily produce consistent, sturdy welds on thicker materials with lots of practice.

MIG Welding

MIG welding, metal inert gas, or GMAW welding, uses a thin wire as an electrode to carry out the welding tasks. This welding process includes the thin wire being fed through the welding instrument, further being heated as it travels through to the welding site. This is a more expensive route and requires a bit more equipment, but it still produces consistent and accurate welds.

TIG Welding

TIG welding, or tungsten inert gas welding, produces the highest quality welds out of the three methods and is the most versatile process. This type of welding is commonly used for larger, more complex projects that typically require more control. While this welding process produces excellent results, it requires a lot more training and takes more time to master, rather than actually preforming the task.
